One month ago, I was at Kunming for a voluntary trip on service learning. I experience so many different dialects and races till I cannot differentiate between them. Kunming is to rich in cultures and traditions thus I decided to choose Kunming as the place for my Tourism, Culture and Society individual portfolio.

In Kunming, over at 花鸟市场 I experience things I have never seen in Singapore, such as way they display their little hamsters, tortoises and snakes for sale.

Breakfast |
This is one of the breakfast we ate during our stay Kunming. Simple and cheap yet filling.
Another thing that I have realized is there are very little baby trams around Kunming. Parents or guardian usually carry them or let them walk by themselves unlike Singapore, a place where baby trams is seen everywhere. The picture on the right is a photo I have taken on the streets when I had that realization.
From this observation, I got to understand the difference between the independence level of a Singaporean child and a child who lives in China. These children from China have been trained since young to walk on the streets by themselves whereas in the same age but in a environment that is more peaceful and safe, Singapore children still have to sit in trams while on the streets.
